Awesome Pot Roast

A friend of mine shared this easy crockpot recipe with me. This is very simple yet very good. It's easy to prepare and tastes like you spent all day cooking it. What's even nicer about it is that it makes its own gravy.

Total Prep Time: 10 minutes.

2 10.75oz cans of cream of mushroom soup
1 1 oz package of onion soup mix
1 1/4 c water
5 1/2 lb pot roast

1. In crockpot, mix mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix, and water. Place pot roast in crockpot and coat with mixture.
2. Sear the meat on each side.
3. Cook on high setting 3-4 hours or low setting 8-9 hours.

Suggested additions: flour (to coat the roast and thicken the gravy), rosemary, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce, red wine, beef broth, stew vegetables, salt and pepper.
