Pizza is a Crock (Crock Pot Pizza)



This one is pretty simple and yummy. You just need to do a little bit of prep before hand, and then you can forget about it for the next 4 hours. Feel free to add in your favorite toppings!

Total prep time: 15-20 minutes

1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground italian sausage (optional)
1 package rigatoni, wheel shaped, or favorite rounded pasta
1 16 oz package of your favorite mozzarella cheese blend
3/4 c of water
2 14 oz jars pizza sauce
1 8 oz package sliced pepperoni
2 onions sliced thinly and halved (optional)
2 green peppers sliced thinly and quartered (optional)

Seasonings:
Chef Paul Prudhomme Pizza and Pasta Magic
Italian Seasoning blend
Minced Onion


1. Boil noodles according to package directions, however, do NOT cook them all the way, only for about for about 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. Brown ground beef and italian sausage, adding italian seasoning to the meat. Drain.
3. In a crock pot, alternate layers of meat mixture, cheese, sauce, pepperoni, and water, adding seasonings as you layer.
4. Cook on low setting for 4 hours, adding a little bit of water to prevent from drying out.

Suggested add ins: mushrooms, ham, pineapple, olives, sun dried tomatoes, any or all of your favorite toppings.
